About Me

My name is Jarrett Sommers and this year marks the tenth that I’ve been teaching in district 194.  I got both my undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Minnesota in chemistry and education, respectively.  I am licensed to teach chemistry, AP chemistry and physical science at the high school level and any science at the middle school level.  I coach cross country and track at LSHS and I’m one of the advisors for the chemistry club.  My wife Sara and I have a daughter, Lucy, who turned 7 this summer and a 20 month old son, Frank.  In my free time I enjoy running, listening to music, photography, pointless technology projects and staying on top of pop culture.
